  1. How do I backup SolSuite data?

    To backup all the SolSuite data (configuration and statistics) files:
     
    1. Open SolSuite, select Tools Menu, Options, Settings tab, Store Folder Settings button and see the Store Folder location.

      For example, in Windows XP your Store Folder can be
      C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\SolSuite

      In Windows Vista or Windows 7 your Store Folder can be C:\Users\<username>\Appdata\Roaming\SolSuite

      If you are using Windows 8 and you can't see the the folder:
      C:\Users\<username>\Appdata
      - Open ʺWindows Explorerʺ
      - Click the “View” tab
      - Click “Options” and select “Change Folders and Search Options”
      - Click the ʺViewʺ tab
      - Select ʺShow hidden files, folders and drivesʺ
      - Click OK
       
    2. Copy all the files from the Store Folder location to an external USB drive by using "Windows Explorer" or by using the Backup Utility included in Windows ("Accessories", "System Tools").

  1. How do I transfer SolSuite to another computer?

    To install SolSuite on another computer, together with all the configuration and statistics files, follow the steps below:
     
    1. Install SolSuite on the new computer by running the standard installation file: solsuite2022-verXXXX-setup.exe. You can download it by clicking here:
      https://www.solsuite.com/download.htm
       
    2. Old computer: open SolSuite, select Tools Menu, Options, Settings tab, Store Folder Settings button and read the Store Folder location.

      For example, in Windows XP your Store Folder can be
      C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\SolSuite

      In Windows Vista or Windows 7 your Store Folder can be C:\Users\<username>\Appdata\Roaming\SolSuite

      If you are using Windows 8 and you can't see the the folder:
      C:\Users\<username>\Appdata
      - Open ʺWindows Explorerʺ
      - Click the “View” tab
      - Click “Options” and select “Change Folders and Search Options”
      - Click the ʺViewʺ tab
      - Select ʺShow hidden files, folders and drivesʺ
      - Click OK 

      Copy all the files from the Store Folder of the old computer to an external USB drive by using "Windows Explorer" or by using the Backup Utility included in Windows ("Accessories", "System Tools").

  1. Replace "<username>" with your Windows User Name, example:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Mary\Application Data
    C:\Users\Paul\Appdata\Roaming\SolSuite
     
  2. If you are using Windows XP and you can't see the the folder:
